Zettai Kareshi Episode 08

Up to episode seven, the entire series was VERY BORING -- like want to strangle yourself boring. I mean, there was no chemistry at all present among the three leads and the plot was kind of the same-ol' same-ol'. I mean it literally took 6-7 episodes for Riiko to finally start liking Night and it was only in episode 8 that she actually seemed to have finally accepted him. Now that the storyline has gotten more... creative... things seem to have picked up and it looks more interesting. I may actually be looking forward to an episode from this series for once. I'm interested to see how Riiko's dream of becoming a patissier works out.

Episode 08 has Kurosu (Cross) Toshiki, the 02 model of the Nightly series, show up and try to woo Riiko, but of course we all know from the manga that he fails in the end. Toshiki is played by the same actor who did Akira from Hana Yori Dango (Abe Tsuyoshi), and for some reason... I don't think he looks as good anymore. Maybe it's the hairstyle? I remember thinking that he was super good-looking from Hana Yori Dango, but I guess that hair just makes him look strange =_=; Even Matsuda Shota looks better than him at the moment -,-;;; Well... it's not like Matsuda Shota is ugly or anything, but his older brother Ryuhei is much better looking in my opinion. Ryuhei is better looking, Shota is better at acting.

Anyway... Toshiki was kind of ... creepy in a way. I don't know why that was what I thought, but he struck me was just creepy. The landlady on the other hand wasn't as creepy this time. Usually, when I watch scenes with the landlady, I'm rolling around in pain because she's so ridiculous, but I was able to handle her eccentricity today. Maybe it's because I'm feeling so defeated from finals this week =_=; *sigh*

Plot progression in this episode was much better than past ones since we're finally seeing Riiko and Night getting closer, and Riiko accepting him more, plus Soshi is starting to try things out a little differently. Looks like the story will be much more interesting from now on so I guess I can stick it out for the last few episodes. I was really in pain for the first 6-7 episodes, but I think I can tolerate it now.
